Tell us how we could make Qaze more useful to you.
Have something to say?
API Prefix & Domain Configuration in Standard Connections
With hub/spoke leafnode deployments, it’s essential to configure the API prefix or the domain. Today, it’s possible with context context connnections - but it’s currently not possible with standard connections
Managing Object Stores
Qaze 1.4 brought support for managing Streams and KV Buckets. This feature will adapt these pattern and will add support for managing JetStream-based object stores.
Seperate the paring of System Account and Account logins
I know there is a request for System Account Only connections but it would be useful to define system account separately. But also allow you to connect to an arbitrary account for managing KV and Streams.
View Server Connections
It would be useful to have a page that can list all connections to the cluster. This would be useful especially if we can get the connection name and other connection details. We are setting up a cluster with Auth Callout and it would be nice to see connections from our tenants instead of just a connection count.
Allow option to disclose passwords on connection edit screen
The current edit screen does not have an option to view password in clear text as you enter it. Would be nice to have a button to disclose password.
Detect unsaved changes on "Connect" button click.
If you edit a connection and do not click save connection, the connection edit page will silently discard your changes without warning and connect using previous values. I suggest you detect unsaved changes and prompt the user.
NATS Top
Metrics view of all servers in realtime. Shows graphs for the observed stats. - Allows to hide/show stats in the table view
Support for Fedora
The latest release of the Linux App image no longer works on Fedora. The previous release did, some there must have been a breaking change given Fedora isn't an officially supported OS for Qaze.
"System-Account-Only" Connections
An interesting use case is the creation of connections that only have a system account configured. Currently, it is required to configure the "normal" account also. This is interesting for people who only have access to the system account of clusters.
Improved KV Watching
When watching KV key changes in Qaze v1.3, there’s a limitation, that can sometimes be not optimal: When stopping the watch process, all the tracked changes are gone right away. It would be better to remove the changes when the tab gets closed.
Stream Message History (with Filters)
Currently, Qaze is able to display the latest messages + disabling/enabling the realtime mode. This feature will add a message history feature, which lets you browse the message in reverse order (oldest → latest) and filtering the list by subject/time/etc.
Document Shortcuts
Qaze 1.3 added a lot of useful shortcuts. This will add a page in the docs to document all possible shortcuts.
Getting Started Guide for NATS Beginners
Some users that are new to NATS reported, that a “Getting Started” guide would be really helpful to understand the things related to NATS a little bit better. So I plan to add videos for setting up NATS and Qaze.
More Filter Options for Navigation & Quick Open
This feature will add support more filtering features to the navigation and to the quick open feature: filter by cluster filter by tags filter by storage (file/memory)
Pausing/Resuming Consumers
Qaze v1.3 added support for showing the pause status of consumers (introduced in NATS 2.11). This feature will add support to: pause/resume individual consumers pause/resume all consumers of a stream (optional) pause/resume all consumers of all streams for the account
Message Transformation for KV Buckets
Qaze v1.3 added support to transform stream messages by running a shell command before showing it in Qaze. This feature can also be very handy for KV buckets.
